total production of watermelons for the year 2008 was over 3329449 mt, and the total surface on the farms was estimated to be 146686 hectares, the average of product per hectare was estimated at 22600kg, and the average exporting of watermelons overseas was estimated around 1605000 mt.

the nature of watermelon is cold and wet; eating of watermelon is very good for refreshing of body. drinking of watermelon juice is very good for relieving thirst.
